Yurosek Farms Pistachio Caramel Apples
- 48 Firm caramels
- 2 tablespoons Water
- 8 Granny Smith apples
- 8 tablespoons Shelled Yurosek Farms Pistachios, or kernals coarsely chopped
- 8 Wooden or popsicle sticks
- Cooking Spray

Cook Time: 10 Minutes
Place caramels and water in top portion of a double boiler. Heat until melted, stirring occasionally until caramel is smooth, approx. 10 minutes. Line a baking sheet with wax paper, spray with non-stick cooking spray. Place chopped nuts in a shallow bowl. Let caramel cool for 1 minute.
Insert wooden sticks into stem area of the apples. Dip apples, one at a time, in caramel. As you remove apple from caramel, twirl stick, so caramel does not drip. Immediately, roll in pistachios to coat bottom half of apple and sprinkle pistachios over top of apple, using about 1 tablespoon of nuts per apple.
Place apples, on wax paper sprayed with cooking spray. Chill apples in refrigerator for 5 minutes to set caramel.
